French Keyboqrds111

Probably not one of my most interesting topics, so if you're reading this on a Saturday or Sunday because you have nothing else to do, I don't envy you. If you are reading this on a workday, however, to get out of something important you should be doing, good on ya!

Now I have chosen French Keyboards as a topic because, well, they're different, and quite annoyingly so. Even as I type this, I am constantly finding that I am making all sorts of spelling and grammatical errors all because things aren't where they should be. First off, French keyboards aren't QWERTY, they're AZERTY. I know it has something to do with how your hand is meant to rest on the keyboard with the most used letteres being where you need them but as an english speaker making the jump, it's a pain in the arse. If I wanted to type "white water rafting" without looking at the French keyboard I'm using, it looks something like this: zhite zqter rqfting. It's interesting as some letters are still in the spots where they should be and I can't always remember how the keyboard is meant to look. To type it out, a French Keyboard's letters look something like this:

AZERTYUIOP

  QSDFGHJKLM

     WXCVBN

But that's not the worst of it! No, their punctuation is all over the shop and you hve to hold down the SHIFT key in order to type numbers and full stops! If you don't, it goes: &é"'(§è!çà. Bloody stand-ins for profanity everywhere! I'm constantly stuck, looking about the keys in front of me like "where the fuck is the exclamation point1(!)" I guess their keyboard is probably quite handy if you're typing in french, as they have all the accents and stuff (èçàéâêîôûäëïöü) but damn, it's an absolute headache sometimes when you want to type in another language. If I was lazy, I wouldn't put as much effort into editing this stuff and just blame it on the keyboard I'm using (some would argue that I need to edit WAY more than I do, because I'm writing about keyboards). Anyways, as an experiment, I am now going to finish this post using an english keyboard layout on a french one and you guys can try figure out what I'm trying to say (If you're not bored already).
